UN General Assembly President Condoles Iran Over Quake

New York, Aug 15, IRNA – President of the UN General Assembly expressed his deep sorrow over deadly quake in East Azerbaijan province and condoled Iran's government and nation on Tuesday. Nassie Abdulaziz al-Nasser, the president of the UN General Assembly, in his message expressed his condolences over the deadly quake in northwest part of Iran. He underlined attention of the UN body members to the issue of natural disaster. UN Secretary-General Ban-ki Moon also expressed his condolences to the the families of victims of the quake on Monday and expressed the UN readiness for sending aids or any kind of cooperation for dispatching international relief to quake-stricken areas./end
