Iran, Syria FMs meet in Damascus

Damascus, Sept 19, IRNA – Visiting Foreign Minister of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi discussed major bilateral, regional and international developments in a meeting here Wednesday with his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Muallem. Salehi arrived in Damascus from Egypt where he attended a tripartite meeting with his Turkish and Egyptian counterparts. Speaking to reporters prior to his meeting with Muallem, the Iranian minister said Tehran is to exchange views with different Syrian groups to find a way out of the crisis which would be acceptable for all parties. Salehi is also to meet with President Bashar al-Assad.
