Mongolians has opened an exhibition of bronze sculptures casted for the first time by their selves. The exposition named “Heaven idea” was initiated by the “Mongol Cast Artifacts” company to display firstly works by sculptor O.Batsuren.
In Mongolia, any monuments had been sent to China or Russia for bronze casting to prolong the lifetime of the monument. But now, Mongolians have learnt to cast at high quality level.
Nine Greatest Generals of Chinggis Khaan and nine white banners, the symbol of prosperity of the Mongolian state are the main point of the first ever exhibition. Mongolians compare everything of heaven luck to a wolf. Warfare technique and strategy of Chinggis Khaan was similar to those of hunting wolf. Considering the nine Generals as heavenly lucky men, they are embodied in cast bronze sculptures with images of wolves.
In historical sources, Mongol Khaans are noted as more as “Heaven whip”, “Heaven saber”, “Heaven arrow”, than as Khaan. In view of this, three works with the similar names are displayed at the exhibition to demonstrate the power and majesty of ancient warriors of heaven origin.
The exhibition is composed of sculptures devoted to three different themes which are Huns period, Chinggis Khaan’s ruling period and mother-nature. The exhibits were created by the sculptor in last three years.
