President: Co-op Among Asian States Will Help Promote Regional Solidarity

Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described Iran-Kuwait ties as brotherly and profound saying that cooperation among Asian countries will help promote regional solidarity. According to a report posted on Presidential Office website, in a meeting with Kuwaiti Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah al-Sabah, Ahmadinejad welcomed the Kuwaiti emirˈs proposal to set up Asian fund and said that Asian statesˈ contribution to the fund will produce a lot of blessings for the Asian nations and governments. Al-Sabah, for his part, submitted the Kuwaiti emirˈs message to President Ahmadinejad and said that Iran plays a key role in regional equations. Referring to the growing trend of bilateral ties in various fields, he added that the Kuwait emir is determined to establish strong ties with Iran./end
