State Secretary of Road and Transport in Germany
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transportation B.Batzaya and head of the Ministry’s Section of Railway Policy Implementation B.Artur participated in an international conference themed "Future of railway and chance for Europe to enter the world market" April 29 in Munich.
The Mongolians attended this conference while visiting Germany with a working visit to last until May 5.
Organized by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, the international conference has brought together Ministers and Vice Ministers and State Secretaries of road and transportation affairs from Spain, Turkey, Poland and Mongolia.
The opening remarks were made by Mr Peter Ramsauer, the Federal Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Development, then, the Mongolian delegation gave a report on a development of road and transport in Mongolia and its policy on railways, and exchanged views with attendees of the conference.
Mr Ramsauer and B.Batzaya shared views on the bilateral relations in road and transport sectors and on construction of new railways. Mr Ramsauer invited a Mongolian side to the international Ministerial Meeting of Road and Transport which will run May 22-24 in Leipzig, Germany.
The State Secretary Mr Batzaya also held meetings with authorities of Germany’s Association of Industries of Machines and Mechanism Facilities; the Deutsche Bahn AG, a German railway company; and the Vossloh AG, a German transport technology manufacturer. The sides discussed the bilateral cooperation in the railway transport and in implementing specific projects and programmes. Mr Batzaya also met with Ms Richter, a board member of the German International Society, sharing views on an opportunity to realize projects on new railways.
By the visiting programme, the delegation intends to meet leaders of the Wirtgen Group in Bonn and the Lufthansa German Airlines in Frankfurt am Main and to get acquainted with international airports of Munich and Frankfurt.
