Mongolia establishes diplomatic relations with Burundi

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia has established the diplomatic relations with the Republic of Burundi. The joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed on July 8 in New York city by O.Och, the permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN and his counterpart of Burundi, Hermenegilde Niyonzima. By signing the joint statement ,the countries agreed to adhere to the Charter of the UN, the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and other international principles and laws under mutual willingness to develop the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation. The joint letter has been sent by the permanent representatives of Mongolia and Burundi to Ban Ki Moon, the UN Secretary General, for registering it at the UN and introducing to the UN member states. The establishment of the diplomatic relations with Burundi has opened up more possibilities for cooperating and for supporting each other in frames of international organizations. The two sides, as the landlocked countries, agreed to cooperate for providing intensive economic growth, specially in sharing experience in the mining sector.
