Z.Enkhbold receives Ambassador of Kazakhstan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold Monday received Mr K.I.Koblandin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia in conjunction with his recent presentation of the diplomatic credentials. Mr Koblandin congratulated Mongolians on successfully running its Presidential election and on raising of the Mongolian reputation at international arena, and highlighted his country's attaching a great importance to widening the bilateral relations and cooperation with Mongolia in the politics, economy and cultural spheres. Underlining an importance of activating the inter-parliamentary ties, Mr Koblandin said Mongolia’s Bayan-Olgii province is a bridge for widening the multi-pillar cooperation between the two countries. In response, the Speaker congratulated Mr Koblandin on becoming the Ambassador to Mongolia. He noted that the ties with the Republic of Kazakhstan occupy a big place in Mongolia's foreign policy, and that Mongolia’s parliament always wants to expand the bilateral traditional and friendly relations and cooperation with Kazakhstan. Mr Enkhbold said he supports the Ambassador's opinion about activating the inter parliamentary ties by organizing mutual visits. Having noted that the 20th anniversary of the Mongolia-Kazakhstan Friendly Relations and Cooperation Treaty will be celebrated October 22 this year, the Speaker expressed satisfaction with activating of the bilateral relations at a wide partnership level and with a regularity of high level talks. Mr Enkhbold said that our countries always support each other within international organizations and treat international relations issues from the same positions, and thanked Kazakhstan’s side for backing Mongolia's willingness to establish the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLDC). He hopes that Kazakhstan will join the international agreement on setting up this center. Then the two dignitaries exchanged views on direct flights between Ulaanbaatar and Astana, transit transportation, facilitating terms for citizenship registration of the people who are residing in the both countries. Ending the meeting, the Speaker wished the Ambassador success, and hoped that the two countries will widen their relations and cooperation. He also promised to back the Ambassador's proposals and initiatives.
