Premier addresses national forum on employment

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag Friday addressed a labor national forum themed "Employed and income-provided Mongolian". The forum, which ran at the State House, focused on ways of accelerating a programme regarding an employed and income-provided Mongolian and of providing more people with jobs. The Premier said the government for reforms and the Oyu tolgoi project trained some 7,000 people in vocational training centers within one year, and that over 70 percent of them have already been employed. He emphasized an importance of focusing attention to giving jobs to more people after having given them a high quality trainings. Mr Altankhuyag noted that his cabinet stopped an import of foreign labor force for the construction sector. He also mentioned activities of the funds for supporting employment and for small- and middle-sized employment, and said Mongolia can import facilities and equipment from Japan with a soft-loan. He applauded the Labor Ministry for concluding one-year works and for elaborating a plan for the three-year works, and urged this Ministry, the Mongolian Trade Unions and Mongolia’s Unified Association of Employers to intensify their works.
