MONGOLIA-THAILAND DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS MARK 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Mongolia-Thailand diplomatic relations, a reception was held at the Foreign Ministry of Mongolia on Monday.
At the reception present were Foreign Minister L.Bold, government high officials, representatives of Ulaanbaatar-based diplomatic corps, the United Nations affiliated organizations, Friendship societies and the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand.
Mr Bold opened the event saying that Mongolia-Thailand friendly relations and cooperation have been developing in many directions with mutual high level visits in 40-year’s period. During that time, many opportunities have been revealed to develop mining, tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries, he added.
"Thailand’s Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s first official visit to Mongolia in 2013 brought peoples of the two countries closer, opened a new page in the history of the Mongolia-Thailand relations and consolidated foundations of those relations".
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s consecutive visits to Mongolia made a great contribution to broadened bilateral relations and cooperation, noted the Ambassador of Thailand to Mongolia Viboon Kusakul and thanked Mongolia for its contributions to develop partnership cooperation of our countries within regional and international organizations.
