STATISTICAL OFFICE HEAD MEETS WITH TURKISH COUNTERPART

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian delegation led by S.Mendsaikhan, the Chairman of the National Statistical Office, visited the Republic of Turkey May 28-30. Mr Mendsaikhan and his Turkish counterpart Mr Birol Avdemir, the head of the Statistical Institute, talked about a realization of actions reflected in a cooperation memorandum, established between the Statistical Offices in 2013, and determined further goals. Noting that staffers of the statistical offices exchanged experiences in refining labor force, gender, poverty, population, mining and energy spheres statistics and improved an information collecting system, Mendsaikhan expressed a willingness to intensify more the cooperation, especially on central and localities' levels. In turn, Mr Aydemir spoke about structure and operations of his organization and put some proposals on ways of implementing the memorandum. During this meeting, the Mongolian Ambassador to Turkey B.Batkhishig briefed on the bilateral relations matters. After this, the delegation got au fait with statistical offices in Ankara and Istanbul, and in Nevsiher province, and also visited historical places.
