Nat’s championship for judo concluded

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The national judo championship for 2015 finished last Sunday in the “Buyant-Ukhaa” sports complex. This year’s championships was attended by 296 judokas from 21 clubs and organizations, competing in the men’s 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100, +100, women’s 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78 and +78 kg divisions. Several top judokas such as an Olympic champion N.Tuvshinbayar; World champions G.Boldbaatar and M.Urantsetseg missed the championship. As the results, G.Kherlen IMS won the men’s 60 kg contest, D.Tomorkhuleg--men’s 66, G.Odbayar--73 kg, O.Uuganbayar--81 kg, Kh.Tsogtgerel--90 kg, B.Ariun-Erdene--100 kg, B.Temuulen--+100 kg; E.Gerelmaa--women’s 48 kg, M.Bundmaa--52 kg, D.Sumya--57 kg, Ts.Tserennadmid--63 kg, Ts.Naranjargal--70 kg, Ts.Battsetseg--78 kg and D.Tserenkhand--+78 kg. A World champion and Olympic bronze medalist Kh.Tsagaanbaatar; and a silver medalist of World championships D.Amartuvshin did not grab a medal. The Ippon Trophy award went to B.Ariun-Erdene, a gold medalist of the men’s +100 kg; and Ts.Naranjargal, a winner of the women’s -78 kg. The winners of each weight category are qualified to take part in the World championships, Grand Slam, Grand Prix and other other biggest tournaments, representing Mongolia.
