PMs of Mongolia and Australia exchange letters

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg and his Australian counterpart Mr Tony Abbot have exchanged letters. They noted that the two nations share common values and strategic interests, and highlighted a growing bilateral cooperation, including people-to-people links. Mr Abbot welcomed Mongolian government’s intention to solve the situation around the second phase of Oyu Tolgoi mine, as well as general investment climate in Mongolia. The Mongolian Premier acknowledged Australia as Mongolia’s major investor, and that Australian educational scholarships as well as volunteers play an important role in the development of Mongolia. He also writes that his government is actively working on attracting and supporting foreign investments.
