BANGKOK, August 7 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has met a visiting delegation of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), assuring that his government facilitates businesses in the Thai economy with transparency and good governance. Virachai Plasai, Thai Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, brought the USABC delegates to meet the Thai prime minister at Bangkok's Government House on Friday to discuss their trade and investment in Thailand. The prime minister noted that the United States is now the second biggest investor in Thailand and he hopes US business operators should become the biggest investor in the Thai economy in the near future. The Thai premier, who is scheduled to visit the United States next month to attend the annual UN General Assembly in New York, thanked US business operators for their regular visits to Thailand over the past decade.
