Shura Council hails King's Asia tour

Riyadh, Jumada II 22, 1438, Mar 21, 2017, SPA -- The Shura Council hailed the results of the Asian tour of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud including Malaysia, the Republic of Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Japan and the People's Republic of China, which has resulted in signing a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding that will contribute to strengthening the relations between the Kingdom and those countries in various fields. The Deputy Speaker of the Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Amin Al-Jafri said in a statement yesterday following the 22nd session that the Council followed the King's tour during the last period, which confirmed the high appreciation enjoyed by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud from Kings and Presidents of those countries, the high position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership in the Islamic World, and the high appreciation from Muslims all around the world for its efforts to serve pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. The Shura Council stated that the royal tour confirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's high status and influence at the international arena, which reflects its political and economic weight and the world appreciation for the Kingdom's role in achieving peace and security in the region and dealing with the phenomenon of terrorism and extremism. --SPA
