1.3 million people visit royal crematorium

BANGKOK, Nov 21 (TNA) - More than 1,300,000 people visited the royal crematorium at Sanam Luang in the past 18 days. Deputy Prime Minister Thanasak Patimaprakorn said more than 1,300,000 people visited the royal pyre in total since the royal crematorium was opened to the public on Nov 2. The highest number was recorded in the past three days with more than 100,000 visitors daily on average. More and more people come to view the magnificently decorated pyre, other structures and the exhibition about HM the late King Bhumibol as it is scheduled to close at the end of this month if the period for public viewing is not extended.
