Baku hosts meeting of International Contact Group on Afghanistan

Baku, June 28, AZERTAC A meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan has kicked off in Baku. The participants in the event include Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov, Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Karzai, US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Alice Wells, and representatives of nearly 60 countries. Along with Afghanistan, Germany is a co-chair country of the International Contact Group. Representatives of Afghanistan public and non-governmental bodies also attend the meeting.
