Danantara, JBIC partner to advance Indonesia's green economy

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to accelerate Indonesia's transition to a digitally connected green economy.
Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani noted in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday that the partnership with JBIC signals strong international confidence in Indonesia's green transition agenda.
"At Danantara Indonesia, we are committed to mobilizing strategic investment that supports national priorities while meeting global standards for sustainability, impact, and governance," Rosan elaborated.
Under the MoU, both parties will identify and jointly develop various priority projects, focusing on decarbonization and the circular economy, including renewable energy, electricity transmission, and water and wastewater management.
Furthermore, the partnership will prioritize sustainable digital infrastructure, such as green data centers and healthcare services.
This partnership also opens opportunities for various financial instruments, including loans, equity, guarantees, and other specialized solutions, to support the development of large-scale strategic projects across Indonesia.
"This MoU marks another milestone in Danantara Indonesia's international partnership strategy," Rosan stated.
With several flagship projects facilitated in the first half of 2025, Danantara Indonesia continues to drive Indonesia's long-term development agenda through innovative and sustainable investments.
Danantara Indonesia had earlier engaged in various international investment collaborations, including a strategic partnership with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) to manage a US$4 billion investment fund for development in Indonesia.
Furthermore, Danantara Indonesia and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) launched the Russia-Indonesia Investment Platform (RIDNIP), with capital of up to 2 billion euros.
Most recently, Danantara Indonesia signed an MoU with Saudi Arabian energy company ACWA Power, with total project funding of up to US$10 billion.
