Enlarged Plenary Meeting of C.C., SWUK Held

 Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- The 14th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea (SWUK) took place on July 10.
Present there were members and alternate members of the SWUK Central Committee and, as observers, women's union officials in Pyongyang and provinces.
The enlarged plenary meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Twelfth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the SWUK Central Committee, made a report.
The reporter said that the women's union is faced with the task for ensuring that all the women fully display the inexhaustible mental strength peculiar to the Korean women in the struggle to glorify this significant year marking the 80th anniversary of national liberation and the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK as a year of great victory.
She called upon all the women to fulfill their responsibility and role as mothers in bringing up their children as the pillars of  socialist and communist construction and the masters who would shoulder the future of prosperous Korea.
Then speeches were made.
The meeting adopted a relevant decision on the basis of the study of the draft decision. -0-
