KSrelief Signs Agreement to Combat Forest Fires in Syria

Kassab, July 16, 2025, SPA -- The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday signed a cooperation agreement to provide essential supplies, equipment, and machinery for combating forest fires in the town of Kassab, located in Syria's Latakia Governorate.
The signing took place in the presence of Syrian Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Alsaleh.
The agreement aims to enhance the efficiency of rapid fire response in Latakia Governorate by providing technical and logistical support to field firefighting teams.
Syria's Deputy Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Dr. Ahmed Qazziz emphasized the agreement's critical importance, especially with the onset of summer. He noted that it represents a strategic partnership focused on bolstering civil defense capabilities, training personnel, and supplying equipment, all of which contribute to building high readiness for confronting fires across Syria.
This initiative underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's steadfast role in assisting affected populations during crises and extends a helping hand to brotherly and friendly nations worldwide.
