IMCTC Concludes Workshop on UN Security Council Resolutions in Chad

N'Djamena, July 16, 2025, SPA -- The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) concluded today in N'Djamena, capital of the Republic of Chad, a specialized two-day workshop on the effective implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions, UN conventions, and relevant international standards, held as part of Round IV of the Sahel Countries Program.
The workshop targeted personnel from regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, auditors, policymakers, government officials, and compliance officers. Its objective was to equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and strategies required for the effective implementation of Security Council resolutions, to improve adherence to international conventions, align national policies with global standards, and address challenges associated with monitoring and enforcement mechanisms, particularly in combating the financing of terrorism and related crimes.
Participants expressed appreciation for the high level of organization and the scientific and practical content presented during the workshop. They noted the significant value gained from the discussions and presentations, which positively impacted their professional performance and enhanced institutional capabilities. The workshop also facilitated the exchange of experiences and expertise among member states.
