Chair of Global Green Growth Institute meets Bahraini Ambassador to South Korea

Seoul, July 17 (BNA): Ban Ki-moon, Chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and former UN Secretary-General, met with Saud Hassan Ali Al Nusuf, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to South Korea, at the Ban Ki-moon Foundation in Seoul.

Ban Ki-moon emphasised the importance of joint efforts and regional and international cooperation to tackle growing environmental challenges and support sustainable development initiatives for a better future.

On his part, Ambassador Al Nusuf commended GGGI’s leadership in helping member countries develop and implement effective environmental policies. He also underlined Bahrain’s commitment to advancing global efforts to fight climate change and accelerate sustainable development goals.

The discussion covered shared interests, especially in sustainable development, the environment, and international cooperation, as well as means to enhance ties between the Kingdom and GGGI and exchange green policy and green transition experiences.
