Iran’s envoy confers with Russian and Armenian officials on regional developments

Tehran ,IRNA- Iran’s Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali has exchanged views with Russian and Armenian officials on the latest developments in the West Asia region.
Jalali met with Alexander Babakov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, on Friday, according to a press release by the Iranian embassy in Moscow.
They discussed relations between Iran and Russia, focusing on avenues for expanding cooperation in various fields, particularly in emerging technologies.
Another topic of discussion was the last month Israeli war of aggression against Iran, which took 12 days before coming to an end with a ceasefire.
Separately, Jalali met with Armenia’s Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan on Friday.
During this meeting, Jalali highlighted the friendly and stable ties between Iran and Armenia, as well as the amity between the authorities of both countries.
He stressed the need for continuing high-level consultations between the two sides.
Jalali also briefed his Armenian counterpart on the recent developments and the unprecedented resilience of the Iranian nation in the face of the Israeli-imposed war in which the United States entered by bombing three major Iranian nuclear sites on June 24.
Arsenyan, on his part, said that relations between Iran and Armenia are at a high level.
He also stressed the need for coordination between Moscow-based Iranian and Armenian embassies to advance bilateral cooperation and address regional issues.
The two ambassadors also discussed other developments in West Asia, as well as issues concerning the Caucasus region.
