Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2025 /Kabar/. A project for the development of viticulture for 2025-2030 is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan at the initiative of Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev.
The Ministry of Agriculture said that within the framework of the program, work has been established to plant grape seedlings in climatically favorable regions.
The Dostuk Kadyrbek nursery offers high-quality seedlings to agricultural cooperatives, associations and private farmers and holds tastings, seminars and training events throughout the country.
Entrepreneur Kabylbek Ergashev, introducing modern foreign methods, grows healthy and high-yielding seedlings of sultanas and table grape varieties. According to him, an average of 35-40 tons of harvest can be collected from one hectare of vineyard.
This initiative is designed to strengthen Kyrgyzstan's food security and reduce dependence on imported grapes, replacing them with locally produced products.
