Law on food safety adopted

Bishkek, Sept. 19, 2025./Kabar/. Zhogorku Kenesh deputies reviewed and adopted the bill "On Ensuring Food Safety in the Kyrgyz Republic" in its second reading.

The bill was initiated by deputies of the Zhogorku Kenesh.

Information on the bill was presented by Balbak Tulobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Ecology, and Regional Development.

The bill aimed at improving the food safety system in the Kyrgyz Republic. The bill was returned for a second reading, with editorial amendments.

During the discussion, Deputy Aisulu Mamashova inquired about the safety monitoring of products imported into the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the same time, the draft Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and Local Courts'" was reviewed and adopted in its second and third readings.

The bill was developed to address issues related to changes in judges staff of the Supreme Court of the country and local courts, as well as to ensure an even distribution of workload among judges.
