Kyrgyzstan reaffirms its support for peaceful and stable future for Afghanistan at UN Security Council meeting

Bishkek, Sept. 19, 2025. /Kabar/. On September 17, 2025, the Kyrgyz Republic participated in a UN Security Council meeting dedicated to the activities of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kyrgyz side reaffirmed its commitment to a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Afghanistan. It was emphasized that, as a close neighbor and partner, Kyrgyzstan recognizes the inextricable link between regional security and sustainable development.
The report said that in recent months, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan have strengthened bilateral economic cooperation, focusing on trade, transport connectivity, and energy cooperation. These steps demonstrate the importance of constructive dialogue and a shared commitment to the prosperity of the two countries.
Kyrgyzstan expressed its readiness to continue supporting Afghanistan on its path to recovery and development.
