Foreign Minister meets Singaporean counterpart

New York, Sep. 26 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Singapore, built on mutual respect and appreciation. The two sides discussed means to enhance cooperation and joint coordination across various domains, exchange support in international forums, and further advance bilateral ties to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples. They also addressed a number of regional and international matters of common interest.

Jamal Fares Al Ruwaiei, Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, and Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting.
