Pezeshkian urges for preserving Iran's cultural diversity

TEHRAN, Oct. 07 (MNA) – The Iranian president has hailed the cultural diversity and presence of different ethnicities in Iran as a blessing from God which needs to be preserved, while warning that the enemies seek to abuse that diversity.
Speaking at a "National Village and Nomads Day Event" in Tehran, President Masoud Pezeshkian said that "All Iranian ethnic groups are trying to tackle the existing problems altogether....Our country, with all its diverse tendencies and ethnicities, belongs to all Iranians."
He recalled the stepped-up national unity and solidarity that emerged among the Iranians after the 12-day imposed war by the Israeli regime and the United States in the country in June, saying that, "The enemy thought that when it attacked Iran, the country would be plunged in chaos, while it soon realized that the Iranian nation stood up to them and achieved important achievements in different aspects."
The president went on to stress that Iranians will never allow foreign interference in their internal affairs, adding that "The ill-wishers will never be able to drag Iran into turmoil."
Pezeshkian referred to the catastrophic situation in Gaza as the result of the US-Israeli genocidal campaign, deploring the claims made by Western states on human rights while assisting the Zionist regime to continue the genocide.
At the beginning of this event, Abdolkarim Hosseinzadeh, Vice President for Development of Less Developed and Rural Areas, stressed that the Iranian nation from all different backgrounds is a national wealth, quoting President Pezeshkian as stressing to him to make utmost efforts to assist the development of underdeveloped areas using the available government's facilities and potentials.
