Education Minister meets UNESCO Director-General

Manama, Oct. 10 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, met with Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, on the sidelines of the ceremony for the 2025 UNESCO–King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education ceremony.
Essam Abdulaziz Al Jassim, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to France, attended.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Education and UNESCO.
It also highlighted efforts to advance the use of technology in education and to develop the Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology. The two sides also reviewed initiatives in higher education, including academic chairs, and programmes aimed at fostering national and cultural identity.
