China’s FM Expresses Readiness to Visit Iraq, Praises Growing Bilateral Relations

Baghdad / NINA /-Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received today, Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Iraq, Cui Wei, who delivered to him a written reply from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
In his letter, Minister Wang expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the invitation extended to him to visit Iraq, affirming his readiness to do so in the near future. He highlighted the deep historical friendship between the two countries and praised the steady development of bilateral cooperation as a result of joint efforts by Baghdad and Beijing.
Wang also commended Iraq’s supportive stances and reaffirmed his country’s keenness to continue coordination with the Iraqi government on regional and international issues, while expanding cooperation in the economic, trade, cultural, and energy sectors.
He further praised the Iraqi government’s efforts to facilitate the work of Chinese institutions, companies, and citizens in Iraq, expressing China’s aspiration to broaden the horizons of partnership in a way that serves the shared interests of both friendly nations.
The message comes within the framework of ongoing communication between the foreign ministries of the two countries and their mutual commitment to advancing the strategic partnership between Iraq and the People’s Republic of China. /End
