Ambassador to US highlights foreign policy priorities at SAIS panel

Washington, Nov. 23 (BNA): Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States, participated in a panel discussion hosted by the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) as part of its Public Service Fellows – Scholarship Programme.
The Ambassador highlighted the key pillars of Bahrain’s foreign policy and its expanding international role, underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to the values of tolerance and coexistence under the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also emphasised Bahrain’s focus on security cooperation, economic diversification, and sustainable innovation.
Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid underscored the strength of Bahrain-US relations, noting their advancement from a traditional defence partnership into a comprehensive framework spanning economic cooperation, innovation, and cultural exchange. He referred the Comprehensive Security and Integrated Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) as a key milestone expanding collaboration to cybersecurity, technology, and trade.
On the sidelines, the Ambassador met with James B. Steinberg, Dean of SAIS, and Sidney Jackson, Assistant Dean of Global Recruitment and Enrollment.
