MATRADE To Lead Malaysia Pavilion At Vietnam Expo 2025 In Ho Chi Minh City

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) will lead the Malaysia Pavilion at the 23rd Vietnam Expo 2025, which will be held from Dec 4 to 6, 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The agency said this year’s Vietnam Expo edition will bring together global businesses, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders.

“The expo will showcase innovative products and services that meet the growing demand for convenience, digitalisation, and sustainability. Under the theme ‘Solutions for the Modern Lifestyle’, the expo will focus on four key sectors - namely, food and eco-living, household electronics, home and garden, and DIY tools and equipment,” it said in a statement.

MATRADE said this reflects Vietnam’s evolving consumer landscape and its appetite for smart and eco-friendly solutions.

This year, MATRADE is collaborating with SME Bank under the halal entrepreneurship development (PPKH), an initiative led by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) to develop and empower halal entrepreneurs, particularly among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Under this collaboration, 23 Malaysian companies will participate under the Malaysian Pavilion, presenting halal-certified and innovative lifestyle products. “The showcase highlights Malaysia’s strength as a trusted hub for high-quality, ethical, and sustainable goods such as food, eco-living, home and garden, machinery, and electronics,” it said.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, MATRADE will facilitate pre-arranged business meetings between Malaysian exhibitors and potential Vietnamese buyers, importers, and distributors. These sessions aim to foster meaningful trade connections, strengthen business networks, and open new export opportunities for Malaysian companies.

Vietnam remains one of Malaysia’s key trading partners in ASEAN, with total trade reaching RM 83.12 billion in 2024. Malaysia was Vietnam’s 13th largest trading partner globally in both 2023 and 2024, reflecting the steady growth and resilience of bilateral economic ties.

MATRADE’s participation in Vietnam Expo 2025 further reinforces this relationship by promoting Malaysian excellence and encouraging stronger business-to-business collaboration.
