UAWK Officials Meet to Start Tour of Revolutionary Sites in Area of Mt Paektu
Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- Officials of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and its primary organizations from across the DPRK gathered to start their study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.
A kick-off meeting of the study tour group was held at the plaza before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City of Ryanggang Province on February 26.
The participants placed a flower basket and bouquets at the statues and bowed to them.
A reporter and speakers at the meeting called on all the officials to bear in mind the noble intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who organized their study tour of the revolutionary battle sites, and to fulfill their responsibilities and duties in carrying out the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea, with new confidence and optimism by embodying the spirit of anti-Japanese guerrillas.
At the end of the meeting, they looked round the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo and the Ryanggang Provincial Revolutionary Museum and then left for the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site. -0-
