TEHRAN, Apr. 23 (MNA) – Jameh Mosque of Urmia is a grand, congregational mosque of Urmia City, West Azarbaijan Province, Iran. It was built during the 13th century in the Ilkhanate era and is located in the older part of the city.

TEHRAN, Apr. 16 (MNA) – The volume of the water at Lake Urmia in the West Azarbaijan province, has reached 1.5 billion cubic meters, and despite efforts the lake has been experiencing a decline in its water.

Located in northwest Iran, Lake Urmia is the largest lake in West Asia and the sixth-largest Salt Lake in the world with a water surface area of 5,000 to 6,000 square kilometers.
