Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh on March 6 led a delegation of embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community to lay flowers at the memorial plaque on Journalistes du Vietnam 8/3/1974 Street in Algiers to pay tribute to the Algerian journalists who died in a plane crash in Vietnam in 1974.

In Abyei, a region between Sudan and South Sudan known as Africa’s “furnace,” temperatures regularly soar to nearly 40°C. The land is dry, infertile, and difficult to cultivate. Yet, Vietnamese military engineers have managed to grow thriving vegetable gardens in the heart of this harsh desert.
