Golfer Choi signs sponsorship deal


SEOUL, Jan. 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korean golfer Choi Kyoung-ju has signed a
three-year sponsorship contract with South Korea's leading mobile carrier, SK
Telecom Co., company officials said Thursday.
The 39-year-old veteran player who has earned seven PGA titles will bear the
company's corporate logo on his T-shirt while playing at PGA tours until 2012,
said Seo Jeong-won, chief of SK Telecom's sports department.
Details of the contract were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to work with Choi, a world-class player. We hope that he achieves
good results this year," said Seo.
Choi will start the 2010 season at Sony Open in Hawaii later this week.
