Yemen, Italy discuss health cooperation

SANA'A,Jan.13 (Saba)- Undersecretary of
Ministry of Public Health and Population Nasser ba Aom discussed here Wednesday with
the Italian
ambassador in Sana'a , Mario Bofo, the cooperation areas in the health sector.
The two sides reviewed arrangements to implement a modernization plan of safe blood
transfusion services within the third phase of the Yemeni-Italian cooperation
project
in this field.
They also dealt with the procedures to organize a conference on safe transfusion of
blood and its genetic diseases in participation with centers of blood banks in the
provinces.
In the meeting, ba Aom praised the current cooperation relations between Yemen and
Italy in the different fields, especially in the health field.
For his part, the Italian ambassador affirmed his country's readiness to support
and train 50 technicians in blood transfusion field and distribute them to the
blood banks
in the provinces.
