LG to create 10,000 jobs this year


SEOUL, Jan. 15 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's LG Group plans to create 10,000 jobs in
2010 while investing a record high of 15 trillion won, the head of the group said
Friday.

LG Chairman Koo Bon-moo revealed the plan on the sidelines of a meeting with
other members of the business community, held by the Federation of Korean
Industries.
LG hired 9,600 staff including 5,200 college graduates last year.
The South Korean conglomerate also plans to invest an all-time high of 15
trillion won (US$13.36 billion) including 11.3 trillion won in facilities, it
said.
