FLOODS STILL INUNDATE THREE SUBDISTRICTS IN PANDEGLANG
Pandeglang, Banten, Indonesia, Jan 17 (ANTARA) - Floods still inundated a number of areas in three subdistricts in Pandeglang district, Banten province, on Sunday.
The floods which began to hit the areas five days ago claimed no lives, chief of the Pandeglang police resort Adjunct Chief Commissioner Krisnandi said on Sunday.
Quoting the latest report from his men in the field, Krisnandi said residents who fled their flooded houses had returned home as flood water in their villages receded.
By Sunday, the floods still inundated rice fields with water level in the worst-hit area reaching a height of 50 cm, he said.
The floods inundated several areas in the subdistricts after Cilatak, Ciliman and Cilemer rivers overflowed.***
