Yemen, Saudi Arabia discuss combating child labour

RIYADH, Jan. 17 (Saba) - Yemen
and Saudi Arabia discussed here on Sunday mutual cooperation in area of combating
child labour.
On the sidelines of Arab Forum on Technical and Vocational Training and Labor
Market Needs held in Riyadh, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al-Razaq
Humad and Saudi
Minister for Social Affairs Yusof Ahmad al-Uthaymeen held talks over cooperation
between the two countries in fields of orphan and disabled people care.
During the meeting, Humad and al-Uthaymeen agreed on submitting a draft of the
memorandum of understanding prepared by the two ministries to the Yemeni-Saudi
Coordination
Council scheduled to be held soon in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The ministers also agreed on activating the follow-up committee formed by the
Yemeni and Saudi Social Affairs Ministries with a participation of the UNICEF.
Humad made clear that Yemen is currently triggering the role of Civil Society
Organizations (CSOs), particularly the ones that concerned with housing,
agricultural and small
enterprises in order to encourage the productive families to contribute in the
development process.
