Elements of vandalism caused delay of starting trial operation for Mareb

SANA'A, Jan. 17 (Saba)-Ministry of Electricity and Energy =
has said that the elements of
vandalism damaged a transferring line K.F Mareb-Sana'a of Mareb Gas =
Plant, which resulted in cutting cables linked between towers No.381 =
and No.382 in Al-Shabwan region
of Mareb province, Director of Lines Project and Transferring Stations =
of the plant, Mohammed al-Thawar told Saba on Sunday.
Al-Thawar said that such acts caused stop of trial operation for the =
plant, adding that the lines have subjected since their operation for =
several destroying acts.
The ministry has announced starting of trial operation for the plant =
this month.
He called on the local authorities and security bodies in Mareb to =
arrest these elements, who caused the ministry hundred thousands of =
dollars in addition to delay the trial
operation of the plant.
It is worth mentioning that works in the project of plant was started =
in 2006, and it was scheduled to be ready in 2008, but such acts caused =
in delaying the accomplishment
of the project.
