Humad affirms importance of Arab forum on technical training

RIYADH, Jan.18 (Saba) - Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al-Razaq Humad affirmed the significance of the Arab Forum on Technical and Vocational Training and Labor Market Needs currently
concluded on Monday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

This is because it deals with a mine stand of human development and a branch of the
inclusive development, Humad added.
She considered the forum is a qualitative addition that provides a common Arab
vision to find effective mechanisms to harmonize between the technical and
vocational training
and the market needs.
The political leadership in Yemen has given a special priority to the issues of
unemployment and job opportunities creation as they are one of the challenges of
development,
Humad explained noting that that interest was reflected in the government programs
and development plans.
A ministerial committee was formed to prepare an integral vision for reforming the
education system through unifying the public, higher, technical and vocational
education,
so as to meet the requirements of development and market needs, Humad said.
Humad pointed that the government ten developmental priorities have focused on
finding urgent treatments to ensure engaging Yemeni labor in the labor market in
the GCC states
and involving the private sector of Yemen and the GCC in management of the
state-owned technical institutions.
In this respect, Humad expressed Yemen's appreciation for the Saudi king's
supportive position to the GCC leaders' decision in Riyadh summit 2009 on taking
the necessary
actions to employ Yemen labor in the GCC labor markets.
She confirmed that this position is an extension of the constant sincere supportive
efforts to Yemen, which strengthen the brotherly ties and the bilateral distinct
relations.
