Yemeni air strike targets terrorist hideout



SANA’A, Jan. 21 (Saba)- A Yemeni security source has said that the security forces launched on Wednesday an air strike against terrorist elements in the area of Al Shabwan in Marib province, east Yemen, led by an al-Qaeda leader Ayad al-Shabwani .

Describing it as a gang, the sources said to Saba that the group had continued to commit numerous acts of terror, including an attack on the towers of the gas-powered electricity station in Marib.

The source didn’t give further details on the number of killed, wounded or arrested terrorists.

"In addition to these criminal acts, the gang blew up a pipeline at Serwah area and attacked the army and security forces while they were on duty as well as interruptions in the streets, looting passengers and cars, targeting foreign tourists and standing behind many of the killings and terrorism’’ confirmed the source.

The source pointed out that this group, taken from a farm of the terrorist al-Shabwani in Marib haven for planning and preparing for their criminal operations and a center of al-Qaeda terrorists.
