SPEAKER OF US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MEETS AL-QIRBI

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 (Saba)-Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives received on Wednesday Foreign Minister of Yemen Abu Bakr al-Qirbi in Washington.

They discussed horizons of enhancing mutual cooperation between Yemen and United States in economic, political and parliamentary fields in addition to security cooperation between the two nations.

On the other hand, al-Qirbi held a meeting with the John Kerry, head of foreign relations at the US senate over bilateral rations and latest regional and international development of common concern, especially condition in Iraq, Somalia and Afghanistan.

The US senate affirmed concern of the United States to enhance its relations and partnership with Yemen. He renewed support of America for enhancing security and stability of Yemen.

Al-Qirbi valued the American support for the development and efforts of combating terrorism in Yemen.

He confirmed commitment of Yemen to combat terror which threatens security and stability of the world.

Moreover, the foreign minister held a meeting with other US senators over mutual cooperation between Yemen and United States.
