Incheon Int`l Airport named the world`s best by U.S. magazine

YEONGJONG ISLAND, Jan. 22 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's main gateway, Incheon
International Airport, has been named the world's best airport by a monthly
American travel magazine, airport officials said Friday.
They said the Global Traveler gave Incheon airport, just west of Seoul, the
annual "Best Airport in the World" award in New York earlier in the day for the
fourth consecutive year.
The magazine picked the winner through a survey of 25,000 subscribers worldwide
from January till August last year on their assessment of airport conditions,
airliners, hotels, and tourist attractions through its post-mails, faxes,
e-mails, and its website, according to the officials at the Incheon International
Airport Corp.
The Global Travelers publishes more than 110,000 copies across the world.
The runner-up was Changi Airport of Singapore, with the Dutch airport of Schiphol
and Hong Kong's Chek Lap Kok ranking third and fourth respectively.
