Korean Air, Asiana win awards from Global Traveler magazine

SEOUL, Jan. 22 (Yonhap) -- Korean Air Lines Co., South Korea's largest airline,
said Friday that it has won two awards from a renowned travel magazine, Global
Traveler, for its seat design and its employees' high quality services.

Korean Air was awarded the Best Business-Class Seat Design as well as the Best
Airport Staff and Gate Agents during the 2009 GT Tested Award ceremony hosted by
the magazine company at a New York hotel on Thursday.
During the event, Asiana Airlines, the nation's No. 2 air carrier, received the
Best Onboard Service and Flight Attendants award for the sixth consecutive year
and was named the Best Airline in North Asia.
Global Traveler magazine has conducted its readership survey since 2004 to select
the best in the travel industry. Over 25,000 readers responded to the survey this
year.
