EGYPTIAN FM REITERATES EGYPT'S SUPPORTIVE STANCE FOR YEMEN
SANA'A, Jan. 23 (Saba)- Foreign Minister of Egypt Ahmed Abu Al-Ghaith restated Saturday his country's backing position for Yemen stability, security and unity.
In a statement to reporters following his meeting with President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Abu Al-Ghaith said "I have convoyed a letter of support to President Saleh from President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak and the Egyptian government and people asserting stand of Egypt by Yemen to present all aspects of political and incorporeal support as well as material backing if needed."
He made clear that he listened from President Saleh to his vision over the current situation in Yemen, specially the rebellion in Saada.
The minister announced that Egypt will take part in London conference on Yemen which is set to take place on Wednesday, 27 January.
"We are concerned to offer all support for Yemen and will stand, along with the other Arab and friend countries, by Yemen in the conference," Abu Al-Ghaith said, adding "we will also discuss mechanisms through which to continue the economic, security and political aid for Yemen."
