YEMEN SURVEY FOR WAR REFUGEES IN NORTH; 8900 DISPLACED FAMILIES SO FAR

SAADA, Jan. 23 (Saba) - The number of the refugees from the war against the Houthi rebels in the far north reached until mid January 8.900 families, official surveys have shown.

Director general of the Social Care Fund in Saada province overseeing the surveying Ahmed al-Owairy said the surveys have mainly been conducted at the refugee camps and outside the camps by the fund in coordination with humanitarian agency coordination council and charities according to mobile field teams working on gathering information about the refugee families.

The current surveys were aimed at unifying repositories of the refugee families from the war that started in August last year for the aid to make it for the families.

The refugees from the sixth war on the insurgents and those displaced by previous confrontations in Saada are being targeted with the two-week surveying, he said.
