20 BODIES OF SAUDI SOLDIERS RECOVERED ON BORDER

RIYADH, Jan. 23 (Saba) – Twenty bodies out of 26 Saudi soldiers who went missing after Saudi army launched military action against the Houthi rebels on Yemen-Saudi Arabia border few months ago, a senior Saudi official said on Saturday.

The announcement was made by Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and General Inspector for Military Affairs, Prince Khalid Bin Sultan on a visit to southern forefronts on the border with Yemen. The announcement was aired by the Saudi TV.

The bodies were recovered after Saudi army cleansed up Saudi regions, previously taken by Houthi infiltrators, he said, adding only 6 Saudi troops remained missing.

Highlighting Houthi tactics, the Saudi prince said that they proved the rebels, who have been fighting the Yemeni army for more than six years, had years-long goals, accusing other sides trained the rebels and provided them with other support.

The situation is now stable on Yemen-Saudi Arabia border, he said, pointing to Saudi plans to set up a military base in Jazan.
