EXPEDITION PLACES INSCRIPTIONS IN 78 OUTER ISLANDS



Dobo, Maluku, Jan 24 (ANTARA) - The National Frontier expedition team (GDN) has placed some 78 inscription monuments from 92 Indonesian outer islands.

In accordance with Government Regulation no 38 of 2002 on the geographical coordinates, the Indonesian archipelago baseline lists the uninhabited small Karaweira island is located six degrees and nine seconds southern latitude and 134 degrees, 54 minutes 23 seconds eastern longitude.

Besides the inscriptions, the expedition team consists of the 'Wanadri' nature lovers community and the 'Rumah Nusantara' cultural group from Bandung (West Java) to survey the demographic and community socio-cultural aspect of Aduar island which is adjacent to Karaweira Island, he said.
