Ministry of Culture and Information Announces FM Licenses

Riyadh, January 24, 2010, SPA -- The Ministry of Culture and Information has
announced the names of 11 companies and institutions that have been qualified
for financial bidding for licenses to broadcast FM waves .

The Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry for Engineering Affairs and Supervisor
of Organization of Audio-Visual Information, Dr. Riadh Kamal Najm pointed out
that as it has been announced by the ministry earlier, the date of submission
of the first license will be held on January 27, 2010 and bids will be opened
to announce the winner of the first license on January 30, 2010, noting that
bids for other licenses will be consecutively received every two weeks until
the date of March 22, 2010, a deadline for applying the fifth license.
